As a veterinarian I consult roughly 115 farms in Denmark and several large farms/integrations in other countries, mainly in east and south Europe and Latin-America. I’m an owner at Porcus since 1 of Jan 2020. Porcus is a veterinarian company with 22 specialized pig veterinarians. At Porcus we consult 250.000 sows with production, this being 25% of the Danish market, as well as farms and integrations in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Besides consulting my clients, I do presentations and lectures internationally on pig production. I have had the honor presenting at IPVS, AASV, AMVEC, PORKCOLOMBIA amongst others.
In 2014 I co-developed a growth tracking program for grower pigs called GainMax and I’m currently working on new software approaches to growth monitoring. In 2018 I became a farmer by taking over the family farm(9th generation)where we fatten RWA (Raised Without Antibiotics) pigs. In 2018 I became an owner at NutriSuin where we produce feed aimed at weaning piglets without antibiotics and extra zink.

Licenciada en Veterinaria por la Universidad de Zaragoza Especialidad Producción Animal y Economía Agraria.
Especialista en Inseminación Artificial y Mejora Genética Ganadera por el Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca.
Inicié mi carrera en el año 86 del siglo pasado, como veterinaria ayudante en las ADS de porcino y ovino de Tauste. Posteriormente como responsable de la fábrica de piensos y de las explotaciones de los socios en las Cooperativas San Miguel de Tauste y COPISO de Soria.
Desde 1990 hasta hoy, soy Veterinaria Responsable de la Agrupación de Defensa Sanitaria de Porcino Nº 1 “Tauste”. He participado durante varios años en los programas de prácticas para alumnos de la Universidad de Zaragoza. Coordino proyectos de cooperación, investigación aplicada y de transferencia de investigación auxiliados por UE, MAPAMA y DGA, relacionados con sanidad, producción animal y medio ambiente.
Codirectora del Centro de Inseminación Artificial Porcina Cinco Villas A.I.E.
Desde 2011 coordino el plan de control de PRRS de la ADS de Tauste y participo como docente invitada en el Master en Sanidad y Producción Porcina (SAPROPOR) de UNIZAR, UCM y UdL, en los módulos de sanidad y Centros de inseminación Artificial Porcina.
Actividades de información y divulgación técnica
He participado como ponente en diversas jornadas, charlas y seminarios. He publicado varios artículos de divulgación en revistas del sector en estas áreas de trabajo.
Gyula Balka graduated in 2003 at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest. Right after that he started to work at the Department of Pathology, where he got his PhD degree in 2009.
His topic was the estimation of prevalence of PRRS in Hungary, genotyping of the Hungarian strains and improvement of diagnostics in the country. Since then, he is teaching pathology and histopathology to veterinary students in Hungarian and English.
He got his habilitation in 2015 and since January 2017 he in an associate professor position. From 2014 he is the editor-in-chief of the Hungarian Veterinary Journal.
He is supervising the work of 3 PhD students in topics of digital pathology, porcine molecular virology with special focus on PRRSV and APPV, porcine parainfluenzavirus-1, as well as porcine circo and parvoviruses.

Veterinaria especializada en sector porcino, comunicación y reputación.
Desde julio del 2020 lidera su propio negocio de comunicación para el sector porcino y este año 2023 ha creado la Agencia Oinkers, la primera agencia de comunicación reputacional para el sector porcino. En ambos casos, su misión es ayudar a profesionales y empresas del sector a conseguir autoridad y visibilidad a través de la comunicación reputacional para conectar con la sociedad y generar impacto.
Licenciada en Veterinaria por la Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona y Máster en Sanidad y Producción Porcina. Se ha formado con expertos en comunicación y marketing como Vilma Núñez, Josepe García, Sara Pellicer y Elena Manzano. Ha trabajado en Grupo Asís (como responsable de la revista Suis), en DanBred International (responsable del soporte técnico en granjas de toda España) y en SIP Consultors.
